Our local liquor guy, which he refers to himself as “The Dude”, gave us this recommendation for our newest whiskey to join the rails. We broke out some Colonel E.H. Taylor, Bottled in Bond, 100 proof Kentucky Bourbon. We got to enjoy this bourbon in our Whisky Stone shot glass which gave us a new way to use our Whisky Stones to chill down this bourbon. The advice we got on this bourbon was completely different than what we have heard in the past. What is it? Well find out in this podcast. Train.. Train…
As we do every week with the blog, we gotta tell a little story about our recording that we may or may not have shared during the podcast. This blog is going to talk about “The Dude”. The Dude, is our local liquor store guy who has given us recommendations recently on some of his favorite whiskey’s and ways to try them. So far, he is 3 for 3 for recommendations and almost spot on for the best way to enjoy them. When I asked if he would like some love for his recommendations on our podcast, he said just refer to me as “The Dude”.
Now, Rob didn’t get the name when he first said it and it was only Eric’s good nature to mock Rob on not picking up the name from the movie, The Big Lebowski. Rob just assumed he wanted that nickname because he still uses the word “Dude” from time to time and basically almost every time when he has been drinking. So he just thought, it was a compliment. Well we all know that the cheese has slid off Rob’s cracker at times and maybe he isn’t hip and cool when it comes to his movie selection however that means nothing in this story. Apparently if you haven’t seen The Big Lebowski, you are missing out on life, per Eric. I am not sure if Colonel Taylor is paired up with this movie in general but The Dude certainly gave us a great recommendation on this whiskey. So check out the podcast and learn more about The Colonel with the recommendation of The Dude…
