Being Hungover With A Eagle Rare And Cask-Strength To Save The Day

When you break out a year celebration of podcasts, you gotta believe there is going to be a hangover episode.  Well, guess what happened??   Dr. Jägermeister showed up the night before and made the morning sort of rough.  Well not rough enough where we couldn’t grab a bottle of Eagle Rare Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey and fire it up for a whiskey review.   We paired it up with a 5 Vegas Cask-Strength cigar.   We found something quite interesting in this episode when we did the review..  What was it?  No, it wasn’t the people watching us, which did happen but it was a strange brew of a combination..   Check out our podcast..  Train..  Train..

We found the night prior to this recording a great night to hang out with some friends and smoke some cigars.   Yeah, that sounds like a great idea until that one guy shows up..  We all know him..  He shows up quietly and then comes in with a boom..   We shall call him Mr. Jägermeister.     While he is a friendly gentlemen, he can sneak up on you and then really reminds you the next day why he shouldn’t be invited to the party..      In this case, both of the hosts shared a moment with this guy and when the evening starts out, he is just a little voice on your shoulder saying this is a great idea.   Granted by the end of the night, he is making the drinks and giving you some bad advice..   So choose wisely..

Never-the-less, we both fired up the equipment for this episode with a great deal of people looking into our podcast studio trying to figure out what is going on..   The scene would look like this, two guys sitting in a dimly lite room, smoking cigars with ball caps pulled down low to keep out the light..   Our headsets were on but weren’t the same volume that we were used to having during the recordings..   The smoke was in the room and we were hidden behind two microphones.    We wouldn’t say this was Hollywood attention that we were getting from our recording but one that you might expect from two guys trying to avoid all aspects of the light.

Regardless, we had our own fun recording this episode.   We took a lot of breaks, talked with a lot of people and at the end of the day, we got to review another whiskey and another cigar.   Can’t say that is a bad day by any means because when you get to drink with one of your buddies, it is never a bad day.  Just our advice to you, avoid Dr. Jägermeister at your next event.

Now, we have said it before and we will keep saying it again.   We are so very greatly with the awesome line up of companies we are working with during this podcast.    We like to think of each of our sponsors / partners as part of our extended Whiskey On The Rails family.   When you get to pair up such great products, it is really fun to come out and record every week because we stand behind everything we talk about and enjoy each of the products we get to use during the show.      Even Eric and Rob get along during the podcast because of these great products and that right there is a miracle..
