Diesel Saved Jethro T Boots

When you have two bottles of whiskey and not sure which to drink for a podcast, it is always great to let somebody else decide on what you are drinking.  Well we did that with this week’s podcast, thanks to our viewers on our Hotel Tango Periscope Line.   They choose some Jethro T Boots and we broke out our last Diesel cigar from Cigars International.   This week we are smoking a Diesel Unlimited Maduro in an effort to help save the whiskey drinking day!!!   What does that mean for our whiskey review?    What is going to happen when you leave award nominee Eric in recharge of the Rails for a week?  Well check out the podcast and find out more..  Train..  Train..

Well this week, we aren’t totally sure what we are going to discuss with this week’s podcast recording.   I think the simplest discussion point is going to be, how we even decided on a whiskey to drink for the last week of Diesel cigars.    Suggestions are great for both Eric and Rob when it comes to what we are drinking, heck donated bottles move you forward in line for review.    So both bottles that we received were donated so they were moved to the front of the line and that started our quandary on which one we were going to drink.

Here is usually our process when it comes to our whiskey reviews.  We take some notes from the company who produced the whiskey, we read a couple of reviews and ask a few of our local drinkers what they think of the whiskey’s.   That is the usual thought process on almost every whiskey we review, however with this Jethro T Boots, there is no company information..  There is no review information..   There isn’t really even any pictures of it on that internet thing..   So we almost feel that we found a made up bottle of whiskey that was left over from the days of ummmm errrrrrrrr ahhhhhh..  Maybe the island of misfit whiskey left this bottle with our friend so he could deliver it to the hosts for their review.  Yeah, lets go with that one because nobody seems to have ever tried this whiskey and decided to write / talk about it..    So is that winning??

Either way, we did take the whiskey of choice and paired it up with our Diesel cigar and lets face it.  The title of the podcast told the story, the Diesel Unlimited Maduro really saved the day in our podcast review.   The flavor of the cigar really helped our taste palette in regards to the after taste of that Jethro T Boots..   One of the hosts might have made the comment, this whiskey tasted like Jack Daniels but lets give it a fair shake..  Jack doesn’t taste that bad at all and considering one of the hosts already finished a bottle of it while a on vacation..  I consider that statement null and void.

On a side note, stay tuned for our next podcast where we are going to give you an introduction to our newest sponsor of Whiskey On The Rails.  Bugatti Cigars are going to be a great additional to the rails with their cigars.    They have been extremely great at giving us some samples to get used to their flavors and giving us plenty of opportunities to smoke their products.   Now here is even the better line for these cigars, you can purchase them all at Cigars International.   What a winning combination.

Now, we have said it before and we will keep saying it again.   We are so very greatly with the awesome line up of companies we are working with during this podcast.    We like to think of each of our sponsors / partners as part of our extended Whiskey On The Rails family.   When you get to pair up such great products, it is really fun to come out and record every week because we stand behind everything we talk about and enjoy each of the products we get to use during the show.      Even Eric and Rob get along during the podcast because of these great products and that right there is a miracle..
