Who knew that prohibition could cause somebody to cross a river and become extremely successful in Canada? This week’s spirit was successful in the United States, got pushed out of the country because somebody thought prohibition was a good idea so got successful in Canada and now is successful all over the world. We had some 12 year Canadian Club Small Batch Whisky in this weeks episode. This episode can prove one point to one of the hosts, a name doesn’t mean the whisky is going to be bad.. Try it, you might like it.. So check out this great podcast.. Train.. Train…
As bartenders, we both tend to have a different idea on Canadian Club when it comes to mixed drinks. We reviewed Crown Royal and we got exactly what we thought we would get with Crown Royal. So Eric was extremely leery about getting another Canadian whisky for our review and Rob poked Eric by saying he was going to get some Canadian Club. Well in this case, I didn’t get the regular bottle but I got the more upscale and better tasting Canadian Club with the 12 year Small Batch Canadian Club whisky. So what does this do for the story?
Well this is going to be our shortest blog because the entire answer to that one simple question, did Eric like this whisky is going to be answered during this podcast. Over and Over and Over.. Trust me, he judged a whisky by its cover and it is time to figure out if he was right or wrong?
Now, we have said it before and we will keep saying it again. We are so very greatly with the awesome line up of companies we are working with during this podcast. We like to think of each of our sponsors / partners as part of our extended Whiskey On The Rails family. When you get to pair up such great products, it is really fun to come out and record every week because we stand behind everything we talk about and enjoy each of the products we get to use during the show. Even Eric and Rob get along during the podcast because of these great products and that right there is a miracle..
